It wasn't meant to be so deep... In the spirit of Halloween, what's in our minds can be far scarier that any haunted house or chamber. I'm always "seeing" things that aren't there in the shadows of my room or house... My mind definitely fits this quote!
As always, thanks for linking me up. I've decided that my new Monday ritual will be to come home after school drop off and grocery shopping and have a nice cup of tea as I check out all the other contributions to the Monday Musings. I just finished checking out all of this week's quotations, so far. As for your own contribution, I generally associate the word "haunting" with Emily Dickinson, partly her work and partly her life story. Appropriate choice of person to quote this week. And thanks again for hosting the Monday Musings. I look forward to it every week :)
I adore Emily Dickinson... as I think about it I wonder what my favorite poets would say about me... Dickinson, Poe, Cummings and Coleridge... Oh well, my fiction choices aren't as dark, so I won't worry about it too much.
Oh there you go again making me think! Great quote!
ReplyDeleteTrue. So true and I know a couple of people who are haunted by their past.
ReplyDeleteMy musings is up now. Have a great week!
I'm with Tamy on this one, I had to read it three times!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking me again this week, we got a slow start to the morning as Miss Emi thought sleeping during the dark hours was a silly idea. :)
Cheers, Kiy
Nice quote for Halloween time :). Mine has a Halloween feel also.

ReplyDeleteNo, I wouldn't worry about it. You seem very balanced to me :) (Oh, and I remember loving Poe as a teenager...)
ReplyDeleteThe Raven will always be my favorite poem. I memorized it in 8th grade for English class and I've always loved the cadence of it.
